Liquid Life was a very limited edition cassette released as J. Reid even though it's basically the Machine Drift material I was doing at the time before Secret Wilderness.

The songs here sample John Carpenter's They Live, Chris Marker's La Jetee, and some Twilight Zone. There's total drone stoner jams like Shinjuku Station, sleazy space cult songs like Between Here & Nothing, and warm early 90's ambient homage Night Physics.

The album closes with the title track Liquid Life which I played out often and have a good recording of over at the Machine Drift Bandcamp page. This is actually the original "demo" recording because all the other times I attempted to redo it, it never sounded right or as to the point as this version so I kept it. I kind of like it when that happens and more when I recognize personally it's the right move to put it as the final take.
